Document Scanning

Paper documents remain an important aspect of discovery. VECTOR uses cutting edge technology and equipment, and applies exacting production standards during the document capture process to provide an exact digital reproduction of original documents. Our team members are ready to assist on all types of projects:  from individuals who need to duplicate a small set of files to large scale scanning projects for law firms or corporations.

TIFF or PDF Conversion

Our facility has the processing power to quickly convert hundreds of file types to standardized TIFF or PDF image files.

OCR

Searchable text is extracted from processed files whenever possible. We also OCR files to create searchable text on demand.

Endorsing & Bates Stamping

Electronic control numbers are assigned to scanned images for organizational purposes on a page and / or document level. Bates stamps can be applied to the images upon request, as well as customized headers & footers to indicate confidentiality or other case related designations.

HIGH SPEED PRINTING & DUPLICATING

B&W & Color High Speed Printing

Our facility supports both color and black & white high-speed printing of documents from a variety of electronic files, including TIFF and PDF images, email stores and miscellaneous collections of files. With the ability to print hundreds of thousands of pages a day, we are responsive to the needs of our clients, and can return substantial portions of “blowback” projects within hours of being called.

Duplication / Reprographics

Our team employs strict Standard Operating Procedures to ensure the highest level of accuracy and performs page for page QC on copy projects to ensure quality and accuracy. We routinely assist law firms and corporations with overflow work from their in-house facilities, as well as providing direct support to legal teams and individuals with a variety of rush projects-- large and small.

A5 Mini Books

We can print your standard letter sized documents scaled down to A5 / 6" x 8", insert tabs and coil or GBC bind. These compact, travel-size volumes are very popular with travelling litigators due to their increased portability!

High Volume Color and B&W Oversized Printing /Copying

Black & white and color originals can be reduced, enlarged or printed same size. Or they may be scanned to standard image file formats such as tiff or pdf.

Manual Document Numbering

Bates numbers, Confidential, Attorneys’ Eyes Only, or any custom wording, with print available in various colors (also see Endorsing).

Coil, Velo, GBC, ACCO.

Tabs

We stock tabs 1-500, A-Z, Exhibit 1 – Exhibit 50, Exhibit A – Exhibit Z.

Custom Tabs

We are able to custom print directly onto laminated 5-step or 10-step tabs for a neat and professional appearance. Creating superior trial binders, business presentations and board books.

CODING SERVICES

Document Unitization / Logical Document Determination (LDD)

For instances where hard copies have been scanned in a way that does not preserve the logical boundaries of documents, such as a thousand page pdf comprised of hundreds of emails, our team members are experienced in examining documents and splitting or merging files as necessary to restore logical document boundaries. Performed prior to coding and review, LDD optimizes the effectiveness of searching for specific documents by keyword searches or coded fields.

Bibliographic Coding

Begdoc, Enddoc, BegAttach, EndAttach, BegBates, EndBates, Docdate, Doctitle, Doctype, Author, Recipient, CC, Characteristics/Properties. Enhanced bibliographic options include issues or names mentioned in text, as well as any number of custom fields.
